I was particularly taken with the puppy, sooooo soft, and you can't see it in this picture but his fur is all shimmery.
For those of you not familiar with Operation Christmas Child it is where people put together gifts for children, in not so fortunate countries who would otherwise have no gifts at christmas, in a shoebox wrapped in christmas wrapping paper. Here's the link to the website:

Haven't posted in ages so thought I would start with my lovely trip to the town this morning.
After my physio appointment we ventured down to the needlework shop to do some wool shopping: My purchases (ready for hat knitting)
We then went to the bakery as I had not had any breakfast :( and bought some yummy halloween treats to take home:
It was a gorgeous chocolate cake with a ghost on the top, so gorgeous Josh couldn't even wait for me to take a photo before devouring half of it hehe My cute witches hat marshmallow cake
Mum then carved the pumpkin ready for the evening:
Was going to take more photos but the battery dies :(
happyAnd I also wanted to show you one of the presents I got her, a lovely handmade wearable art piece by a lovely lady called Valerie on Etsy.

Anyway here are some (shoddy) photo's of the Halloween OOAK Doll:
The best of several evil quality photos!
Still a lot of work to go into the costume, this is after just one afternoon of designing and sewing.
Another thing I wanted to write about is the importance of a good breakfast. This year I have really come to see the truth in the statement
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day"
If I have a good tasty breakfast I am more often than not happier for the rest of the day than if I don't.
This was my breakfast this morning:
So good even the cat was desperate for some:
My yummy breakfast (cheese, onion and sweetcorn one egg omelette; just like on holiday)
The completed Dobby Hat :)
And just for the hell of it...
And just for good measure, a "lovely" shot of me in my pjs looking rather like an invalid lol
And finally, credit for the pattern of the Dobby Hat goes to: http://leftinstitches.blogspot.com/2005/1
Well the story goes, I had just got on the bus with loads of heavy bags and books and was attempting to put the stuff down and get in the seat (baring in mind this bus is actually a coach so not much room at all) and some ignorant impatient fucker barged past me (and I am trying to make space for his holy rudeness to get past) and i get stuck with the bags in the tiny space inbetween seats and it just twisted out, luckily I got it back in again pretty sharpish. The even more annoying thing is I don't think the twat even realised anything happened, despite the almighty crack that came out of my leg.
It hurts like a bum, but even though it still hurts once its back in place, the pain is less severe than when its out of place. I didn't cry, I had done it before 3 years ago, but I was holding back for the whole bus ride home. I was a bit shaken and worrying about getting off the bus. I thought I was ok to start with but the swelling began and I just about managed to get me and my bags off the bus but couldn't walk after that so had to get someone to come and get me. I then went to A&E later on that night and the leg is all strapped up again and i'm on crutches. I missed a whole day of life drawing at college and I can't go back to work till i'm off crutches :(
I should have punched that guy and I am strongly compelled to shove one of my crutches squarely up his arse if I ever see him again. Luckily for him I am a nice enough person to know its not worth it and I also need both my crutches!
